Kids just love playing with mitti (clay) and they enjoy it
even more when Parents play along with them. Sounds Fun!!
And this fun
recently happened at a Parent-child Clay Modelling workshop hosted by Khaitan Public
School (KPS), Sahibabad for school children and their parents. Claying Thoughts organized this workshop at their beautiful in-house amphitheater.
|
It was a 3-day
long event wherein more than 300 parents and their children attended the workshop. Parents got the opportunity to learn new ways of having fun with clay along with
their kids. Parents were explained the benefits of working with Natural Clay and how it helps in developing fine motor skills and stimulating imagination of growing kids. |

Clay Modelling Workshop for Junior Wing
The workshop was designed
in such way that learning happened in a fun way. Participants were given a demonstration of a simple clay modelling
technique that they can easily try independently at home. After a quick demo,
clay was distributed and everyone tried their hands in making creative clay
pieces. From face mask to animal faces, pen holders to Clay Mountains
-everyone got a chance to create a piece using their own visualization under our
supervision and guidance. |

It was a great learning experience for
everyone who participated in the workshop and certainly for me. I would like to
thank all the parents, children, art teachers, management from the bottom of my
heart for their support and appreciation. Also, Thankyou KPS for the warm welcome, kind hospitality and scrumptious lunch :)
And last but least - a special thanks to Ms Namitri Rathi, the Head of
New Initiatives and global Connections and KPS, and the I LEAD team for
conceptualizing this entire event and trusting us for our skills.
Looking forward to more such wonderful experiences....till then Happy Claying :)
